She was the character Carmen on The L Word, Kate Reed on the legal drama on USA Network Fairly Legal (2011-2012) and Sameen Shaw on CBS' crime drama Person of Interest(2012-2016). [2] She was also in the lead role of Det. Dani Reese appeared in Life [3] as well in Alias in a supporting role. The actress was also part of the cast of Reverie in 2018. She was a regular role in City on a Hill on Showtime[5] and seven episodes of The Rookie as Jessica Russo the love interest of her. Shahi met Robert Altman when she was an extra on Dr. T and the Women of Texas. Altman urged Shahi to move to Hollywood and she received roles on Alias and Dawson's Creek and also Reba as well as Supernatural. In 2005, she played the role of DJ Carmen de la Pica Morales the supporting character of The L Word. She joined the show in its second season. Shahi's two-year contract with the show was not renewed after the end of the fourth season and her character was written off.
